I've been saying this since 2004, and I don't even watch her!

Someone would have to convince her that the oppressive media experience would be worth it, but I believe she could be a true leader for America.

Taking this seriously, one wonders whether Oprah would be hung with all the baggage from her talk show and acting careers. And, once out of the spotlight (she would have to take a sabbatical from her media empire) she would be competing for TV time with everyone else. THe last time a candidate emerged from the media world to a major political post was-- well Arnold Schwarzenegger in California and the wrestler guy (Tony Ventura) who became Governor of Minnesota. Neither of those worked very well once the bloom came off the rose.
