Rural Democrats
Just because you live in the sticks doesn't mean you have to thump your Bible, toe the line, give up your privacy, live with poisons, join the shooting gallery for a living, or drag your knuckles. You have issues too, and wikiDemocrats wants to hear strategies for taking back rural areas for the Democrats.
Guns
Can it be true? Liberals like guns? Boy, wouldn't it be easier to elect Democrats if we didn't have the city gun issue to battle every fall. When you get down to it, this is why the Republicans control the Senate.
Wal-Mart
Wow, who would have thought you could get filthy, stinking rich wrecking vulnerable rural economies. That Sam Walton, what a guy!
Health Care
Would somebody please tell us what is this health insurance thing?

Michigander here, I am sickened by the clear cutting in Arenac Co. of state forests approved by Bush &Co. These once beautiful forest are a waste land and a dumping grounds for the loggers who have left their trash behind in these once pristine forests. The ground is so dry now what is left is in high danger of forest fire and a danger to surrounding communities. Moffatt Twp. has been hit very hard. The slaughter of these forest continues and so does the dumping, very little is left, the land has been raped and tortured here.

Michigander here, I have watched Wal-Mart ruin our rural businesses here, one by one I have seen businesses fold that were owned by generations of families here, Wal-Mart has ruined the historical community and erased the fabric of rural America, replaced by part-time Wal-Mart jobs

Michigander here, rural Michiganders are paying a heavy price when at the gas pumps. We pay somtimes up to 15 cents more on a gallon of gas than in the neighboring towns, weekends, gas can go up 20 cents a gallon and then back down on the weekdays and they get away with it.
