Several weeks ago before the Senate Bill was passed, I wrote to the DNC and told them that I thought Democratic leaders were wrong on this issue and it would lead to defeat in the mid-term elections. Americans are fed up with all of the illegals in this country and the fact that they are demostrating and demanding goods and services that they do not pay for. The election in California proved this and now all Republicans are jumping on this band-wagon and will be using it strongly against the Democrats who voted for this Senate Bill. People want the border secured and our laws enforced on employers who are providing the incentives for them to come. We want a way to verify documentation these people are presenting and we want those who have stolen identities to be deported. That is the ONLY way we will stem this invasion that is taking place on our soil. By supporting the Senate bill (which is almost identical to 1986) Democrats will lock themselves out of winning a majority in either house. I hope that this party will realize this and become smarter in dealing with this problem which affects EVERY American in this country. Only a "get tough" stance will turn this tide of illegals entering our country daily.

I feel as though we spend a lot of time on this site focusing on... rather boring... issues--- so i want to know what some people think about the following: global warming, gay marriage and adoption, abortion, exporting labor, the profit margins of the oil industry, censorship and the Patriot Act, the underground slave trade and mail order brides-- i want to hear any opinions about anything that will get people talking! I feel like these are huge social and economic issues that are being ignored while our country spends its time meddling in poorly executed foreign affairs.

we are witnessing the most stupid congress the U.S. has ever had. Not dealing with the laws already here to protect this country. Citizens need to do something to protect us from politicians. Like open season on the sorry bastards and replace them with temporary worker because they won't do the job.

I do not buy into this bilge water talk from Al Gore.He is one of Hilary's puppets for her bid in the oval office and other turncoats. He was a liar in 2000 and still is one if he cares about America.Lets not forget his acting skills. We have too micheal moore's there already.Ross P he is not, plastering your face on film doesn't cut any ice with the real america public. If I was Bill Gates, and the other truly dedicated people in the fields of technology. The first thing I would expose him as the fraud he is and tell hilary and her cronnies stick it.

First and foremost, we need a WALL along our southern border! Stem the flow!! No amnesty, no felonies for humanitarian workers. Amp up the guest worker program, find out who they are, where they are and how long have they been here. They can work here if they want as long as they follow our laws.

He is the strongest contender for the democractic nomination for president in 2008 because he understands the insidious, invidious, evil compaigning of the republican right wing. Eugene Mahoney

I have had to abandon my lifelong support of the Democraatic party because of their far left leaning on virtually every issue and stubborn attitude toward reconnecting with middle America and their desires and opinions. There is NO WAY middle America shares the Democratic Party's present position on abortion, prayer in schools, and gay rights yet the party, which is obviously controlled by people from the Northeast and Far west, continues to put forth candidates who have virtually no change of winning in November elections. With the Party's present attitude and leanings, it will be a cold day in you know where when they see either the White House or control of either the House or Senate again. I have hoped that someone within the party would actually listen and hear "the people" for years now but I've given up hope. IF they nominate Hillary or Edwards or Kerry this time around, they will LOSE AGAIN! Question is, will they be any smarter even then. I doubt it! This is a party of self-destruction.

Democrats! - Please begin to represent the middle class tax paying electors of this country! We have been overlooked for too long. There was a time when Democrats did that. Our politicians have switched to representing big business and illegals.Obedience to law was a Democratic virtue until politicians found money comes easier from special interest.

If the Democratic Party doesn't come up with someone better than Hillary or Kerry, I will be voting Independent! When is this party going to wake up and come up with a personable, charasmatic , intelligent candidate?!!! All we hear about is Hillary and Kerry and Gore and the like! None of them have a chance of winning! How about Warner or
Obama - they or politicians like them will be the key to success in gaining back the White House. Bush and his cronies are "killing" the Republican Party but its still going to take more than that to win back the White House and Congress!

i beleive that Bush is doing the best that he can giving the circumstances. he became president with goals for this country and what happens... we get bombed out of nowhere. he was forced to take action and now we penalize for that... i am sure there are others things he could have done better and diferently but he is trying just like any one of us would if we were in that position. He is a good man trying to fis his wrongs. i give him my full support.

Today I am a Democrat but I truly believe my days are numbered. I am filled with such rage and scorn at the betrayal of this party I can barely believe it. In my opinion the biggest threat to americans is now coming from our own elected officials and today I find that the Democrat party is truly no better than the Republican party when it comes to protecting American,s interest. Shame on you.
