Presently the Bush Administration is publicallh chastizing the UN but are privately begging the UN to help us in Iraq and Afghanistan. I hate to be one but the UN is very important to the US. All this junk about selling out to the UN is rhetoric and nonsense.

The US cannot win in Iraq or Afghanistan without the UN. The problem is clear. We do not understand their culture, know their languages or norms. The UN has countries that do.

The US military is tired. When Rumsfelt changed the military from large and slow to mean and lean he offered buyouts for many senior enlisted men with between 15 and 20 years in service. These individuals were offered full retirement benefits or out right buyouts. He assumed that the projected invasion of Iraq would be short and sweet. When the Runsfeld doctrine proved to be a disaster, there were fewer senior enlisted professions to lead the fight. The reserves were called up and now our military is in decline due to exhausion.

Their is a solution for the Runsfeld disaster: a Draft. Since Bush43 has stated that the draft is out of the question, the only solution, however distasteful it is, is the UN.

Begging the UN for help is the only solution for Iraq or Afghanistan except for continuing the carnage of our young Patriots in the field.

The US has a choice. Either beg the UN for help or let our Patriots die.

"People, except for how to h andle those 12 million illegals already here, this is a rather simple problem that politicians have made to look complicated. First of all, border security should take top billing. Dispatching an already tired and stressed National Guard is NOT the answer. If Bush had kept his promise of hiring an additional 5,000 border guards each year he has been in office, we wouldn't be looking to the guard now. Secondly, a fence is NOT the answer because the border is too long and it's impossible to patrol it all.

The way to stem illegal immigration is (1) Enforce laws that place severe penalties on those crooked employers who are hiring illegals in the first place. Fine them, place them on probation, publicize their names and hold them responsible for the cost of deportation and legal fees. IF the jobs are not there, they won't continue to come in such numbers. (2) Require all immigrants to learn to speak English within a given time frame. It's awful for TV and appliance repairmen to have to enter a home where nobody speaks English or administer to a hurt individual who cannot speak our language. Besides, people in France won't speak English if we visit as well as Mexico. Why the double standard of guttlessness? (3) Establish a reasonable quota for immigrantion and enforce it."

No time frame for any illegal that has been in the U.S. because I personaly know and can and show you 2 that has been in this country for 18-20 years and have been in jail and stay drunk all the time and has been in the chairity hospital in Houston several times. After the first time to the Hosipital. The Hospital sign them up for a Social Security card where all future charges would come from our Social Security syestem and I saw the card. Pubic workers are helping destroy this country. No one has ask the illegals to go back home.
