I guess Rove is already at it again. I have watched several News shows this afternoon...including Fox (I know..I'll soon shower)...anywho...They (republicans) are now blaming enviromentalists for the gas crisis. If only we had passed Anwar..none of this would be happening. Instead of blaming a Prez and Veep deeply involved in the oil company...instead of having a windfall tax...instead of cutting out the oil companies huge tax benefits...they are seriously trying to blame enviromentalist for this problem.
Fox had some screaming little elfish guy..who was debating a Green Peace fellow. You know whos side Fox was on right? I can't believe the Republicans are actually getting through their prepared rhetoric with straight faces. Now, all you can do is sit back and see how many lemmings will believe this rot. |

Dems should get behind telecommuting as a policy. There are so many positives to people working from home; Less oil, less pollution, less spent on 8 lane highways used for 3 hours/day, less fustrations (Americans commute an average of 50 minutes a day!), lower health risk, more time people can spend with their families.

The president has asked for $92 Billion to continue funding the Iraqi war. That's a lot but not near as much as the additional price we ar paying for oil. Because of reduced supply from Iraq and general mid-east jitters, there is about a $20/barrel factor within the $70+/barrel we are paying. Since the US burns 26 million barrels a day or $190 billion each year Americans are paying for Oil because of the war.
